Usage Instructions:
Test on swatch of fabric. Use 2 layers of medium- to heavy-weight fabric reinforced with interfacing. Work on firm protected surface. For reversible snaps, substitute second cap for post when applying stud.
These instructions are for using the Dritz heavy duty snap tools (item # 3). To apply using the Dritz heavy duty pliers (item # 24P), follow the instructions on the pliers' packaging or website item page.
1. Mark position of snaps on topside and underside of garment. Cut small hole at mark with scissors.
2. For cap and socket:
- On topside, push post of cap through hole in fabric from right to wrong side. Place cap in smooth side of anvil.
- Position socket bowl side up over cap post.
- Insert metal tool into post; hammer several times until cap and socket are tight.
3. For post and stud:
- On underside, push post through hole in fabric from wrong to right side. Place post in raised center side of anvil.
- Position stud raised side up over post.
- Insert metal tool into post; hammer several times until stud and post are tight.
