Discover the art of quilting on your domestic sewing machine in this hands-on class taught by Teresa Allsop. Perfect for beginners, this class will guide you through essential quilting techniques using a placemat "quilt sandwich" as your practice piece.

Details:

  • Date: September 30th
  • Time: 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM (Class), (Break), 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM (Class)
  • Class Size: Limited to 6 students
  • Class Level: Beginner
  • Materials: Four-count placemat panel included in the class cost. Students are responsible for providing their own batting and backing fabric.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Quilting with a walking foot (Stitch in the Ditch and Cross-Hatching)
  • Free-motion quilting
  • Ruler work
  • Using marking tools & stencils

Preparation: Please come to class with four quilt sandwiches prepped. The batting and backing should be 2"-3" larger than the top.

  • 505 spray adhesive
  • Ruler foot
  • Threads (white or off-white, 50wt and 60wt)
